It had almost been a whole week since Damian and Olivia started hanging out. They had practically become inseparable in their short time of hanging out. Damian finally got the nerve to actually ask Olivia on a real date rather than just ‘hanging out’ together. And he had used his genius brain to countdown the hours until the date actually came, counting down the milliseconds of it.

Getting ready in his big bathroom in Yun Tower, he can feel the nervous jitters in his stomach. He had never really been on a real date before. Someone like him never really has the time to do it. Having picked a really nice restaurant to eat for dinner, Damian dresses in a nice overpriced button-up shirt. He rolls the sleeves up to his elbows and combs his stylish hair over his forehead.

As he gets ready, his father walks into the room. “You look excited for tonight. I told you a date would be good for you.”

“You told me to go date that Ultra Violet chick who I am sooner to put behind a cell than behind a dinner table.” Damian replies as he works on his hair in the mirror.

Donnie laughs a bit, “Either way. I’m glad to see you actually enjoying your young life. You know it only comes around once ya know.” Donnie leans on the wall while crossing his arms. “So tell me about her? What is she like?”

The next thing Damian knows is he is sitting in the back of a black town car, being driven by one of the family drivers. He looks out of the window, looking at all the buildings with a smile on his face. On the seat next to him are a bouget of flowers, ready to be given to the lovely lady of the night. While in the car, Damian recalls on his response to his father’s question.

“She’s…She’s great.” Damian slowly turns to face his father. “Remember how you always told me that you fell in love with mom because no matter what happened. Or how much things came to suck in Kasaihana City…She always found a way to keep a smile on your face. That all you had to do is see her face and know things were going to be okay?”

Donnie nods his head, “Yeah, I remember.”

Damian pictures Olivia smiling with rosey red cheeks in the cold on the day they first met. He smiles and says, “Well…She does that for me.”

At that moment, the car begins to roll up towards the hotel where Olivia is staying. If she was out of the hotel waiting, she would see him step out of the back of the car dressed to his best and looking as good as he could make himself look. In his hands are the flowers. And just before seeing her, he can hear what his father said to him.

“She sounds like a keeper, Damian. Try not to mess it up.” He then laughs and makes his exit of the bathroom.

And the night begins.

Olivia and Damien had hit it off pretty well! After eating breakfast and talking some more on rather complicated subject, they both found that the other could keep up with the topic which she found to be such a breath of fresh air. Not once did he ask her what her bra size was or if she wanted to see something funny or hear a bad joke. The next week went by smoothly, he’d come over to her hotel and they’d just hang out and watch some movies and there was no pressure of them doing anything intense…but when he asked her out on a real date, she couldn’t be any happier!! She gladly accepted and when the day came, she spent most of the morning in the bathroom, taking a loooong shower. Now in a fluffy white towel wrapped tightly around her form, she blow dried her hair until it was nice and full of wavy locks of golden. Next was her makeup though she kept it light, with some purple eyeshadow, lip gloss and blush. Putting on a nice short black dress that hugged her torso but opened past her hips with blue/purple flower patterns on it and black heels with straps that hugged her ankles. The dress went just past her knees to keep things classy as she grabbed the pocket purse in one hand and the perfume in the other, spritzing herself to give a vanilla fragrance. With painted lips turning into a smile, she admired her outfit in the large body mirror in the bathroom before turning and stepping out of the bedroom. Her cell phone goes off in her purse and she reaches for it and answers, not surprised to hear the sound of her uncle. “Hey Uncle dave! I’m doing fine! Seattle is amazing…” On the other end, a confused old man would blink at the happy sound of his niece. “Really? What happened to ‘theres nothing much going on here I wanna go home’ attitude you had in the beginning?” To this, Olivia laughs softly as the door closes behind her and she walks through the hallway. “Well things are…different now.” “Whats his name.” To this, she laughed harder before letting out a dreamy sigh. “Damien….and hes as dreamy as could be. Hes smart, uncle so smart and so sweet….I can see the appeal now in why mom fell in love with dad here.” “Well okay sweetheart just…be careful. Call me later so I know he didn’t kidnap you.” “Oh Uncle Dave stop being so dramatic…as if I could get kidnaped, have you met me?” They shared a good bye and she hung up, brushing some hair out of her face happily.

Damien mentioned something about a nice restaurant but she hoped she wasn’t too over dressed as men would eye her appreciatively as she made her way through the hotel until she was outside. She had thrown on a light shawl to wrap around her shoulders to keep them warm and just as the nippy air kissed her light golden skin, a town car approached the curb and out comes Damien….looking so dashing it made her blush though she was glad she wore makeup and it was chilled out tonight so she could blame it on the cold. “Wow you clean up well, Sir.” She teased before sky blue hues land on the flowers and her smile shines bright, reaching up to her eyes. “Oh, Damien theyre beautiful!” She would take them and give them a light sniff, enjoying the fresh smell before the man who opens the door for the patrons would reach for them and nod with a smile. “Ill have them bring it up to your room, Ma’m. Enjoy your night.” Olivia thanks him before turning to face Damien and shrugging her shoulders, a force of habit she would do when she was nervous. “So….Hi.” She said, playing with a strand of blonde locks.

Damian practically feels the nervous feeling in his stomach disappear when he sees her walk out of the hotel. His smile widens and his eyes shine off the moonlight as he watches her come down towards the car. This week had been a time where Damian is rather happy and enjoying his days. It had been all because of how much time he has been spending with Olivia.

After receiving the flowers, she puts on her nervous front. Seeing it practically makes the young boy wonder blush because of how adorable he finds it. She did it back in the coffee shop and Damian hasn’t been able to get himself to not smile when she does it.

“Such a goof.” He tells her while sliding over to the back of the door to let her in first. “Come on, Blondie. I didn’t plan on this date being on the steps of the hotel. So let’s go for a ride.”

If she slid into the car, Damian would soon follow and they would be able to sit comfortably in the back of the vehicle. The driver shuts the door behind them and quickly gets onto the road. While the car moves, there are a few seconds of silence between the two of them. Damian’s fingers tap against his knee as he tries to think of something to talk about to break the silence.

He turns to Olivia he asks, “Can I be honest with you?” And if she says yes, Damian would continue, “I’ve actually never really been on a date before…I mean struggling between a bio-engineer all day and being The Run-…” He pauses for a second realizing what he was about to say and quickly fixes his speech by saying, “The Runner of a multi-billion dollar company at night…Dates really ever come to be in my schedule. SO…” He looks down a bit. “So I guess what I’m saying is…” He flashes her a sweet smile, “I’m glad my first date is with you.”

There would be about ten to fifteen minutes before they reach the restaurant and when they actually pull up, it would be rather surprising for her to see. They pull up directly in front of the restaurant where a red carpet flows from the street up towards the doors. Some more paparazzi stand behind red velvet guard rails. They had come to the grand opening of this restaurant where celebrities of Seattle and politicians of the state have been coming in and out of all night.

Hoping to give her a good surprise, Damian laughs a bit and winks towards her, “Guess you can’t say I am a boring date now can ya?”

The driver would come to the back to open the door and the flashes would instant flood the two of them before they even get out of the vehicle. It’s showtime!

The two climb into the car and she begins to look all over, never being in such a fancy vehicle before and enjoying the free ride before taking note of Damiens light tapping on his knee. She scoots closer, going to lean in and try to put the moves on him but he interrupts and she squeaks, moving back and flashing him a sheepish smile. “Oh uh yeah of course hun, go ahead.” She responded as he mentions its his first date ever because of how busy hes been. She could understand that completely, her schedule of being Ultra Violet and taking AP classes had her plate full and all she could do was daydream of boys so this would be her first date as well. “I’m glad my first date is with you…” To this, her heart skips a beat and she starts to laugh a little nervously, fearful he could hear the rapid pumps against her chest. Damien was really a sweet heart considering he could have any woman he wanted and how wealthy he was but he didn’t act like how everyone made him out to be and that’s one of the reasons why she enjoyed his company…he was different from what society wanted him to be. “Well that makes two of us, I don’t really date much either and I’m happy to be here with you.”

The car slows down after their comfortable ride and a red carpet is rolled out, making Olivia gape in astonishment. “That’s a lot of people out there!” She fixed her hair a bit, hoping not to make a fool of herself and make Damien look bad as the doors are opened and she steps out, her dress flowing nicely along smooth toned legs as cameras flashed about left and right but Olivia merely sported a charming smile of pearly whites and a light wave. When Damien got out as well, she’d take his arm and stand close to his side, laughing a bit. “I can't say youre boring in the slightest Mr. Yun...Oh, please make sure I don’t trip because knowing my smooth self I will but at least I can fall with style.” The restaurant looked beautiful from the outside! It must cost a fortune just to get an appetizer here! All the journalist and photographers outside by the velvet rope watched them intensely, some of them shouting to grab their attention as Olivia looked over and blinked innocently before happily waving at them. “Hi!” “Miss! Whats your name?!” Through the entire week none of them had been able to find out who this girl was…she wasn’t a model, an actress a socialite or heiress of that sort! So everyone wondered what kind of girl this was to grab the attention of Damien Yun!! She walked with Damien down the red carpet as they tried to get her name though she wasn’t much too preoccupied with them as Damiens scent distracted her and she enjoyed their closeness, hugging the muscular arm closer.

The flashing lights shine bright in front of the two of them as they exit the vehicle like a celebrity power couple. He welcomes her clutch on his arm, this gets more of the paparazzi to throw out questions about them being a couple. He can hear them all and it only makes him laugh. He gives a nice smooth wave to them while walking with her towards the restaurant. When she mentions to make sure she doesn’t trip, Damian moves a little closer to her. He moves his down across her back to be placed on the far side of her hips.

He leans his lips close to her ear and whispers just for her to her, “I’ll be here to catch you if you fall.” He then gives her a playful wink before moving his arm back for her to hold onto.

The flashes from the cameras come stronger at those few seconds where Damian’s arm is around Olivia’s back. As they make their way towards the door, one of the reporters catches his attention. It had come from a male reporter from Channel 12, someone who Damian had been interviewed by before.

“Come on, Mr. Yun give me something here. How about confirming you have yourself a beautiful girlfriend to help take up your time in that tower of yours?” The reporter asks with the microphone held out to Damian.

Damian looks down towards Olivia on his arm and smiles. “If tonight goes as well as I hope it does, then you can expect more of this gorgeous blondie to be around with me.”

With that statement, Olivia and Damian make their way into the restaurant. They are firstly met with the owner, a man from Italy. He had worked his whole life as a restaurant owner and made it all the way to open a popular new restaurant in America.

The owner extends his hand for Damian to shake while saying, “Thank you Mr. Yun. You and your date look amazing today. We have your table ready for you, Rachel will seat you.”

Damian shakes the man’s hand and the couples are led down to their table. Once at the table, the two would be able to sit down. Damian being the gentleman and pulling out the chair for Olivia to sit down first.

“Your waiter will be right with you guys.” The hostess addresses the two of them before walking away.

Once seating and comfortable, Olivia could see the place is packed to the house with famous people from each side of the spectrum. The mayor of the city is in a booth with her colleagues and even Seattle’s all-star Pitcher for the Seattle Barons is here. It would be funny to see how a seventeen year old boy could get reservations to a place like this on its opening night.

“I’ll be here to catch you if you fall.” The whisper sent a shiver down her spine though she did well in hiding it. A girl could practically melt with such a velvet smooth voice such as his…but of course the blonde was nothing to scoff at either as an alluring laugh passed full pink lips. “My hero…” A reporter gets through the crowd and asks Damien if the two were indeed a couple. She’d only started seeing him about a week ago and already these people expected something like that. People did enjoy a good story…Damien decides to answer this one and she listens curiously before a bit of red sneaks to her cheeks in the form of a blush. She recovers however and grins playfully, tossing her head back lightly to get the blonde curls out from her face. “You’re playing your cards right so far, Mr.Yun.” She winked at the reporter before giving the camera a light wave.

The two are led inside and are introduced to the owner of the restaurant! Olivia smiles politely to the Italian and before long they’re finally seated at a table, walking through the packed crowds of people eating dinner here tonight! Sheesh this place was really something there were so many beautiful faces and important names, the blonde couldn’t keep up with them all. “This is…incredible I think I’ve only seen a lot of these people from a television screen.” She says with an excited tone, trying not to seem too eager but this place was gorgeous and so full! Leaning close to him so he could hear her, she smiles and asks. “How did you ever get reservations to this place?” Blue hues shift to spot politicians ordering drinks and bellowing in laughter and then over to an actress/actor couple enjoying a dinner to themselves. The music was light, not too loud so the guests could enjoy their meals and hear one another. A candle was lit between them with a single rose taking up space beside it to give that romantically dimmed atmosphere. “I love this place, I don’t even know what to say…no ones ever done anything like this with me before.” She was afraid of ordering, sure she knew he had money but she wasn’t the type to take advantage of that and she could feel her take charge attitude urging her to try and pay for herself. “This place must be really expensive, Damien we can split the check…”

Damian had always been the kind of person to adore being praised for his actions, whether that be as The Runner or as Damian Yun the Bio-engineer. But now, he finds a new kind of way to smile as he listens to Olivia being excited about being in the restaurant. Damian’s eyes remain fixed on her as she looks around with a large smile at the guests she is seeing.

When she asks how he got reservations to this place, he confidently replies with, “It helps to be powerful in this city.”

Olivia mentions that no one has ever done something like this for her and that makes Damian feel all kinds of good about the situation. He had never been in the dating game so to see her happy must mean he is doing something right.

As a joke, Damian smiles and says, “Maybe you could get used to stuff like this for when we go on dates after tonight.” He flashes her a quick wink before she continues with her observation of the place.

Damian laughs, not out of being an asshole, but at how adorable he found her statement. There was no way in hell he was going to let her pay for anything tonight. Damian looks at her with a slight smirk and shakes his head.

“No chance, Blondie. You won’t be paying for anything today.” He then slides his left hand across the table to try and hold her right hand. “I want to do this for you.”

The waiter walks over while carrying a bottle of wine, asking if they would want any. It led to a colorful moment of awkwardness with both of them being well under the drinking age in this country. After getting passed the portion of wine, the waiter places the menu’s on the table and gives the two of them a few minutes to figure their meals out.

Damian flips through the menu that is filled with expensive meals well above the normal price range. If Olivia looked up at Damian she would see him not even fazed by the large prices of the meal choices.

Damian shuts the menu, “Well I think I know what I want. What about you? Don’t pick a cheap meal just because you want to be nice.” He laughs softly. “Pick anything you want.”

Once she is ready the waiter would come back and be ready to hear her order.

Olivia would look at the table decoration, trying to figure out what kind of conversation to try and make with him but her focus was mostly on Damien and how handsome he looked tonight…not to mention his smooth words that put her in all sorts of good moods. “Hah we’ll see. So far you’ve been doing really good. I think I like the pace but…if things keep going this well I might wanna speed things up a bit.” She winks playfully back before he mentions how she isn’t gonna pay a dime.

“Oh fine fine I’ll let the man pay…this time but next time I’ll take you out! Though uh don’t be surprised if its in a family chain restaurant haha I got student loans to pay for after all.” She smiles sweetly at him and blushes lightly when her hand is grabbed, not pulling away…she strokes it softly with a dainty thumb before sky blue eyes trailed down to the menu to see what she could enjoy….that was until she saw the prices. Once calm hues widen in shock as she squeaked and gaped at him. “Da-damien…” But he didn’t flinch at the prices like she had! Some of these items cost a lot of cash that could be used to pay for bills! Or new books!

They really were from two different worlds…it sort of made her wonder why he even asked her out to begin with…besides being smart, the two didn’t have much in common (little did she know they were a lot a like in the hero department) he was a rich boy with a multibillion dollar company and she…well she did her best not to spill coffee on herself on her way to school taking the transit…He insisted she pick something she wanted and with a sheepish laugh, finally decided on the Chicken Bryan and that was that. After handing the waiter the menu, she took a sip of her water glass and played with her bangs absent mindedly. She had so many questions to ask him…they hung out for about a week though they never got in this intimate of a setting so she didn’t know how to approach it.

Ugh this was so difficult she was so nervous of messing it up and looking like a fool in front of him! Usually when she went out with guys it was them acting like idiots but Damien wasn’t like those others…he was intelligent and she just wasn’t use to having someone else on her level. It was just something to admire and she caught herself watching him to the point she realized she hadn’t said anything to him. She blushed and placed her water glass down, clearing her throat. “Heh sorry I didn’t mean to stare…” This was unbearable! What could they talk about? “Damien…I….” She tried to start but once more didn’t wanna come off like an idiot so settled for sighing and smiling softly. “Sorry I can’t seem to talk tonight, I’m a bit tongue tied. This is my first time being on a date with such a fascinating person. You are…really cool heh and I’m not use to having someone to talk to about anything else that isn’t sports or other mundane subjects.”

Damian could see her stumbling around for words and he could only see it as something adorable. He knew she was flustered at the overwhelming feeling of this date; he is not oblivious to it. But it was his plan the whole time to show her what dating someone like him would be like. He didn’t see her as someone who is not in his “class” of being, but rather a girl he enjoys being with even just sitting in her hotel watching movies.

Damian smiles at her after she speaks, “Remember when we were watching movies in your hotel room?” Damian keeps his hold of her hand while he speaks, “Well that day was one of the most enjoyable days I’ve ever had. We talked for hours after. So don’t let the fancy clothes and expensive food make you think differently. I’m here with YOU.” He then flashes a sweet smile. “The only person who matters in this restaurant.”

Sadly for these two teens, their night is quickly about to change and not for the better. As they sit and talk, there is an event occurring at the docks that will eventually grab both of them out of their night.

At the city hall, there is a trial occurring for a Christopher “Hot Head” Donaghy. He is an Irishman who’s metahuman abilities allow him to manipulate scorching hot fire. Together he worked with a man by the name of Jack O’ Connor. He is the polar opposite of Hot Head. His metahuman trait allows him to manipulate ice to the point of absolute zero.

They had ran a gig that went terribly wrong, getting Chris caught by The Runner and eventually taken in by the SPD. Now Jack looks to break his buddy out of this trial that he is in with a little touch of cold. Standing on top of the building there is a muscular male standing on the roof in bright blue and white clothes. A blue and white hoodie covers his face from cameras but it is obvious as to who it is by the color scheme.

“Time to lower the thermostat in this place…” Jack says to himself while placing his hands on the edge rail of the building.

His arms quickly turn to ice and the energy extends down all across the building. Using his abilities, he is able to not only freeze the molecules of the air but the building itself to absolute zero. This means that the atoms and molecules in the surrounding area actually come to a complete stop, or a freeeezzzeeee. (YEAHHHHHHHH!)

Within seconds, the entire building is covered in this ice, blocking any entrance from outside forces and blocking the exits so people can’t escape. Jack enters the building by his own entrance with the ice and quickly shuts it behind him.

It only takes a few minutes before the police force is alerted to his actions. At the restaurant, police officials and the mayor are all quickly called out of the restaurant. Squad calls pull up to the place and some even drive passed to continue their drive over to the courthouse. Damian looks on with a puzzled expression. Olivia would be able to see that Damian is more concerned about the situation than other civilians might be. This could stand out to her about some lingering feeling she is already having about déjà vu with Damian.

He reminds her of all the times they just hung out and watched movies, talking for hours until the sun rose and she smiled at the memory, nodding. “Yeah, I do…” He continues and it honestly reassures her. When he says shes the only one in this restaurant who matters, a blush creeps up to her face and she laughs. “Damien Yun, you charmer. How many women I wonder have you said that too.” She teases, squeezing his hand playfully. The tension was beginning to clear and she found herself relaxing more and more around him even if they were in a fancy setting, he was still that intelligent funny man she met at the coffee shop. She liked how down to earth he could be regardless of all the wealth…Suddenly the movement of the police and the Mayor catches her attention and her smile fades lightly. “Hm.” She begins and trails blue eyes to watch Damien who also seemed to be paying a lot of them attention. Odd for him to do, not for her of course she was a hero so tells like this were important to notice…now that she thought on it, it gave her a sort of de ja vu feeling about Damien once more and it was beginning to make her wonder. “Damien…? Are you alright hun?” She asked with concern. Just then the loud blaring sounds of sirens exploded outside the establishment as red and blue lights almost blinded the guests just about seven patrol cars zoomed on by!! Blinking, she tilts her head to the side and thinks on the situation… “Oh my it seems like theres trouble.” Well she was on vacation! She didn’t need to go anywhere especially if that asshole Runner was going to show up and besides there was nooooo way she was going to cut this date short! No way! She DESERVED this! All the ass kicking in Kasiahana this was her break and she was going to enjoy it! Runner had it handled anyway as much as she hated to admit it, whatever the situation was he could handle it….But when her eyes trailed back to Damien he still seemed distracted and her smile fades completely. “Hey are you okay? I’m sure whatever it is, the police force have it handled…and your big shot hero ‘The Runner’ has it handled. Theres nothing to worry about.” She tried to assure him just as their food was being brought to them.

Damian did everything he could to try and keep his mind on the date with, Olivia. His mind raced with the many crimes that could be occurring to draw that much attention from all these cops. If it brought enough attention to get some of the people in this restaurant away from their meal, it must be something huge. Looking back towards Olivia he can see that look of concern on her face. He clearly isn’t playing his role of the hotshot engineer of Yun Corp very well.

“S-sorry. I guess I just got caught up in what’s happening.” Damian says as he flashes a smile to her.

What doesn’t help the situation is that his phone begins to ring. Damian reaches down into his pocket to grab his phone and sees that the caller ID shows that it is his father calling. He quickly answers the phone and places it against his right ear. Donnie begins to explain the situation over the phone that the entire courthouse has been taken hostage by Jack O’Connor. His grip around Olivia’s hand slowly gets tighter as Donnie explains everything to him.

While on the phone Donnie tells Damien that his date has to run short because of how serious the situation is. “I can’t, Father. I’m out with-…” Damian tries to plea with his father to let him stay. “I understand the situation but I can’t just lea…” Before he can finish his sentences, Donnie orders him on the other side of the call to get out of the restaurant and to do his job.

“I know you are trying to have a normal night, Son. And I know how much this girl means to you. But you have only known her less than a month! You have been protecting this city for over two years! LIVES ARE AT STAKE! What’s more important, Damian!?” Donnie yells from the underground HQ.

Damian slowly nods his head, “I understand, father.” He slowly looks up to admire how beautiful Olivia looks tonight. “I will be right in.” He says in a somber voice.

He hangs up on the phone call and slowly places the phone in his pocket. He reaches back with his free hand to push his hair back while trying to think about what he should say to her.

“I know this is going to come off terrible and probably ruin any hope I have of getting a relationship with you…” He then slowly pulls his hand away to stand up from the table. “But there is a situation with the business that I need to come in and handle. Because I am the only one who can do it…” Damian looks down a bit, showing how much he really doesn’t want to leave. “I’m sorry, Olivia. I’ll call you…”

And with that, he makes his way to exit the restaurant. Once he does so, if Olivia where to try and chase after him she would see that the moment he leaves the restaurant that his body disappears. Using his speed, Damian races back to the HQ like a blur of lightning that is unseen to the naked eye!

Olivia watched Damien for a moment longer and smiled when he tried to explain why he was so intent on the situation around them. "Its alright I--" His phone rings and he actually answers it, surprising the blonde. Whatever it was, seemed to be urgent as he squeezed her hand and now she couldn't help but worry. "Damien?" She questions softly and soon enough he stands up from his seat and apologizes. He was leaving!? "But uh...Oh well I understand." Her eyes lower and she just flashes him a weak smile. "It's alright you go do what you have to do hun. Just call me later so I know you're okay." The smoothly dressed boy turned and was out the door! Olivia watched after him before slumping in her chair and sighing lamely, poking at the salad that just arrived. "Awesome night..." He seemed genuinely upset about having to leave but did the business seriously need him that badly at such an odd hour of the night? Couldn't his father just have handled it anyway? She felt silly being all dressed up drapped on the arm of some playboy millionaire only to have to leave by herself and the eyes and whispering weren't helping as a camera flash almost blinds her and she frowns. Getting up, she tries to leave with what little dignity she has and figures she might as well just go be a hero to this stupid city...but the thought of The Runner already being on the scene only put her in a worse mood. Ugh did she have to be a hero right now? It'd certainly be better than moping about the hotel room because her date bailed. Ugh this sucked! Go to her hotel and be depressed about Damien? Or go be a hero and deal with The Runner? Both were not appealing but the distant screaming helped make that decision as she rushed to an alley to go and get changed....

A little bit later, Ultra Violet would have come swinging in on her grappling hook, landing ontop of a street pole to view the situation from a close distance and asses what needed to be done. She was once more in her hero costume of purple and black with the hood hovering over her head and a domino mask to hide her well focused eyes. The air was horribly colder in this part of the city to the point where she could even see her breath! The police were already down there surrounding the building and civilians were kept far from the danger zone though many of them were curious as to what was happening inside the court house which was now completely frozen over by ice! Violet had dealt with run ins with Blizzard, an ice user from Kasiahana city before so she wasn't unfamiliar with villains with this type of ability though they were troublesome to deal with. The people inside were trapped and by the looks of it there was no way inside...The vigilante masks eyes narrow in concentration to form out a plan to get the hostages out safely. Though out of sheer curiousity she wondered...where was The Runner?

II[]

Making his way into the HQ underneath Yun Tower, Damian quickly changes over into his Runner Equipment. Donnie is working the super computer while Dinah runs around the HQ like a small child enjoying the little things. Damian’s facial expression shows the anger inside of him as he is changed into his vigilante gear within an instant.

Dinah looks over towards her older brother while saying in a high pitched adorable voice, “Daddy, bwother looks mad!”

This causes Donnie to slowly turn around with his expression looking very blank as if his sons anger did not bother him. “Is there something on your mind of importance, Son?”

“I finally go on a date…meet a girl I like…like you said I should do. Why did you pull me out of it!?” Damian asks with his body beginning to release a bright yellow lightning aura around him because of his anger.

Donnie shakes his head slowly. “I understand that being ripped from your date is not what you wanted. But this city needs The Runner. You took a vow to always put this city before yourself. It needs you now. Don’t act like this isn’t something you would expect to happen. And it’s not the first time you have left early on a date either, so I don’t know what your problem is.” Donnie then slowly turns to face the computers once more, expecting his son to get his head in the game.

Damian slowly looks down and finally runs out of the HQ with his body releasing powerful bolts of yellow lightning on the ground. Within less than a second, The Runner would appear next to some of the cop cars that are stationed outside of the courthouse. Because of his reputation with the police, he is not like most other vigilantes in the world. They do not hunt him down as a normal vigilante would be hunted.

Once one of the captains sees him, he walks over to The Runner and begins to brief him on the current situation. “Jack O’ Connor has frozen the entire courthouse with his Absolute Zero manipulation. We have no way in the building because of that damn power of his.”

Damian bites his tongue a bit, hating when he has to deal with Jack because of his rare powers. See there are many people who have ice manipulation or even cold manipulation, but nothing compared to Absolute Zero manipulation. Jack holds the ability to turn anything into Absolute Zero. This means that he slows the molecular movement in any object to the point that even the molecules stop their motion, causing it to become inert. This is always a struggle for The Runner because his powers are heavily based on having his molecules moving faster than anything possible.

It had happened before where The Runner lost an encounter to Jack because he was able to freeze his body to the point that he couldn’t run. Now in a place where Jack is at an advantage, this battle could get very interesting very quickly. At this point, no matter how much he would hate to have it; assistance would make this fight a lot easier.

Violet watches from the pole before using her acrobatic abilities to scale from the pole and on to the police cruisers to get closer to the police chief and Runner. She listens in on what they were up against before jumping down and putting her hands up. "Im a friendly, don't shoot." She says calmly before crossing her arms and staring at Runner. "Ugh I can't believe I'm spending my night with you..." Which was basically her way of saying she was going to be assisting him on what was supposed to be the most romantic night of her life with possibe nookie but nooooo here she was. Regardless of how he reacted she just looks back at the building and clucks her tongue. "Right so now that we got that out of the wonderful way...whats the plan? Are you gonna run really really fast till the ice melts?" She mocks playfully as she stepped up to the building to take a closer look. Her breath once more can be seen as she frowns behind her mask and tries to find the quickest entrance...might as well just use the front door. Throwing her hand out swiftly, a mixed purple and pink glow immets like a sphere of energy as she uses her ability of force field manipulation to expand through the ice until it shatters, the sphere growing larger until she was satisfied with the entry way. Shards of ice crash to their feet as the vigilante turns to him, she waves her hand in front of Runner and moments later hes wrapped up in a tight force field that hugged his very form. "You're worried about his powers right? If hes as powerful as you mentioned then you'll do well in using my force field to be able to run at the speed you wish without too much of a problem...so long as the aura surrounds you he wont be able to use his ice to slow you down. As cold as the air is inside, my powers should be able to keep the molecules around us from being frozen." The door had also shattered into pieces the moment the sphere expanded leaving the giant entrance as a gust of icy wind blasted outside, alarming the cops but it was just from the insane temperature drop coming from the court house. To keep from being frozen she too had wrapped an aura around herself though keeping in concentration for two people on top of fighting was going to be a bit difficult. If she wasn't careful the barriers surrounding them could disband and leave them vulnerable but Runner was simply going to have to trust her. She would take the first step inside and though her molecules weren't affected the cold was still very much present as the hooded hero hugged herself and smacked her teeth in annoyance. They were in the lobby of the giant court house with three main hallways that all led in a different directions, a set of elevators and a stair case on the other side of the room that led up to the other three four floors of the building. Everything was incased in ice, the furniture the banister ect were ingulfed in shards of spiky ice that made Violet a bit on edge. This place was a cold death trap if they weren't careful their vigilante careers could end tonight...

While working out a plan with the officers of the SCPD, they are interrupted by the presence of Ultra Violet. Damian slowly turns around with his arms crossed and a blank expression is what greets her. He remembers the other night where she invaded his fight with Shocker and seeing her again makes him practically fume with anger. She doesn’t help ease the situation by walking into the crime scene with a cocky attitude.

Before Damian and the other officers can give a reason for her to not be here, she walks towards the building to complete her plan of action. The cops initially place their guns at her, confused whether she is enemy or friendly. But they slowly begin to ease up when they see that The Runner has not already taken her down. By that logic, they figure that she is a friend of The Runners.

The next thing he knows, there is a purple aura that surrounds his body and he is forced to listen as Ultra Violet explains her plan to help save the day. Runner hears some whispers about how this female has come and completely taken over Runner’s crime scene. This even gets some of the cops to joke that The Runner is losing his touch. This gets Damian to ball his hands into fists as he feels completely emasculated at the situation.

All he can really think about is how shitty his night had become from how wonderful it was when it started. He knows he needs to keep his mind on the mission but he can’t get Olivia out of his mind. He left a smoking hot brilliant blonde who he wants to be with, to be here with another blonde who pisses him off to no end.

Damian swallows his pride and slowly begins to follow Ultra Violet into the building. He catches up to her and together they walk into the building, getting to the three hallways.

“Don’t expect a thank you out of me…” Damian’s expression continues to paint his anger and rage towards having to work with her. “I could have done this perfectly fine without you…”

After giving Ultra Violet the cold shoulder he begins to walk down the center hall way. From what the captain told him, the meeting for Chris Donaghy had been down the center aisle in courthouse B. If Ultra Violet follows him, they would be able to walk into the courtroom together. Once inside they would see that the courtroom had been completely frozen over. The dozens of people inside of the courthouse are also frozen to absolute zero with no hope of being saved. At the center of it all is Jack O’Connor standing on top of the judge’s podium waiting for The Runner.

“Well well well….Did our Runner finally get himself a girlfriend?” Jack laughs while speaking.

Damien quickly responds, “She’s not my girlfriend…Quite frankly I wouldn’t mind it if you put her heart at absolute zero for me.” He smirks a bit towards Jack.

“Now that’s just coooollddd, Runner. I remember you had much more honor in that. You must really hate her if you are willing to let me freeze over that little heart of hers. LET’S FIND OUT HOW FAR YOU ARE WILLING TO GO!”

With a jolt of electricity, Runner flashes forward and quickly clocks Jack with a powerful left hand punch! Jack flies back into the wall but not before shooting out his Absolute Zero Manipulation towards Damian. Being able to freeze molecules at any point, he begins to freeze Damian’s chest to the point of absolute zero. This would be where Ultra Violet’s durability comes to the test. Unlike the ice outside, Jack is focused now on actually freezing the aura itself, causing her power to become inert.

After being punched into the wall, jack would fall to the floor with his arms covered in the absolute zero ice that he uses. With his focus, at the same time he attacks The Runner he also attacks Ultra Violet. If she focused too much on helping The Runner she would not be able to see that her own chest was being attacked as well. Just by the simple focus of Jack’s mind, he attempts to freeze her aura over as well. This is a true test to see how talented Ultra Violet is and if she can actually come to help Damian in this mission.

Runner won't give her any thanks for coming in and aiding him and to that she merely rolls her eyes from behind her mask. "Oh please I could just see how quickly you figured out even getting into the building. Don't mind me then I'll just stand back and let you save the day....it's all about the glory for you right?" She insulted easily as the two continued walking and Runner led the way to the correct room where the villain would be waiting for them.

The double doors open and once more a strong gust errupts and exposes the unsettling image of all the frozen people. Ultra grows serious and looks around. "These poor people..." “Well well well….Did our Runner finally get himself a girlfriend?” Her attention is drawn to the man known as Jack O'Connor as hes sprawled about the podium and as Violet goes to correct him, Runner did it for her...in a more insulting way than she'd care to admit. There was an obvious vein a top her head as she tried not to let that comment get to her but the blonde wouldn't just stand there and let herself be threatened. "CAN YOU NOT BE A JERK FOR FIVE MINUTES?!" But her yelling went through deaf ears as both men were on the offensive, Runner shooting off his feet. "Wait no we need a PLAN!" But he started on without her and she glared slowly....He had a problem sharing the spotlight didn't he?

Jack sends a blast of absolute zero ice the moment the assault lands on his face, sending him flying! Ultra focuses on keeping the aura around him before realizing the ice was trying to grow around it and break through to hurt Runner! Narrowed eyes focus more as the aura expands into a bubble, growing around the hero faster than the ice and shattering it before deflating back into the aura that keeps him protected. For now they were alright with just simple attempts of freezing them over but for how long she couldn't say.

A sudden chill runs through her and she realizes she'd been hit as well but was so busy worrying bout Runner to notice as the ice began to encase her but once white eyes glow purple as the aura tries to expand itself but the ice had already begun to trap her. She changes tactics, absorbing the ice by changing her force field into an assimilation shield: mixing absorbtion and force field manipuation to meld the ice into the shield as it shifts inside and turns into a powdered snow around her before disbanding it and returning the shield back into a protective aura.

Now that she'd protected both of them she'd get in on the fight, throwing her hands out to blast ice off of one of the benches not currently seating any frozen people before levetating it off the ground and sending it flying towards O'Connor in a violent toss as she releases it from the bubble! "Runner we need to TAG team! Do you know what that IS?! IT TAKES TWO!"

III[]

As the chair is thrown, Jack turns to look like a deer in the headlights of an incoming truck. Jack takes the hit of the bench and it quickly shatters across his body into a hundred little pieces. Damian turns to face Ultra Violet once the yelling is completed. Jack’s head pokes out of the rubble of the bench while laughing hysterically.

“Wow, Runner. She sure has your balls in a vice. And here I thought you would end up wearing the pants in a relationship. Usually so angry all the time, looks like we just needed to be a girl to get you weak in the knees. HAHAHA” Jack knows how to push The Runner’s buttons and with saying this, he throws out any hope for Ultra Violet to get her team-up.

The Runner flashes over to Jack and lifts him out of the rubble with his left hand and launches him through one of the ice walls that leads into another courtroom. Jack’s body lands on another bench after being launched through one of the walls with a loud thud. Looking back at Ultra Violet now, Damian’s glowing white eyes behind the mask simply glare at her.

“Haven’t you figured it out yet? We will NEVER work together!” Damian practically scowls at this girl while he speaks. “I don’t need YOU. I don’t need ANYONE. So get that through your thick fucking head, girl!”

After bitchslapping her with words, Damian runs through the hole that is created after throwing Jack through the wall. Damian stands in front of Jack now as he watches the area he sits on begin to freeze over. Jack gets up to his feet and with a small drop of blood coming out of his mouth, the fight continues.

Jack creates large white spikes of ice from the molecules in the air and launches them over to Damian! The Runner smirks and utilizes his amazing speed to move his body around each individual spike like it is nothing to him. The ice lands into the wall behind Damian, beginning to freeze the entire wall over on impact.

“You’ve been training aye, kid?” Jack asks while keeping his guard up.

“You won’t get passed me again, O’Connor…if that is what you are asking.” Damian’s eyes glare down an archenemy of his eager to put him down.

While the two stand there in their cliché stare down, it could be a perfect opportunity for our hero in purple to strike and hopefully try to steal the thunder from the hero she hates.

Violet makes contact and grins behind her mask but it soon fades as Runner makes it known he is not happy with her results by glaring at her. Jack laughs like an idiot and further worsens the situation as she goes to tell him to shut up but Runner beat her to it as the man is sent flying across the room on the other side! Leaving a giant gaping hole and a loud crash, Jack is down for the moment as Runner begins to yell at her! "We will NEVER work together!" Harsh words pierce through her stomach worse than the ice ever could as she is glad the mask hides the hurt expression on her face. "Oh you dick..."

Once hes done, he rushes to the hole and it was at that point Ultra disbands the protective aura around him, watching him leave. "Fine...you dont need my help? You dont need my powers to help keep you safe. Your hearts already cold as ice ANYWAY!" She shouted but he was already gone to the other side to go handle Jack. She should just go home! Why be here if this asshole was just going to ignore her help! She could leave right now even and he wouldnt even care! Though she knew this wasn't about him it was about doing whats right and with a groan she rushes to the hole and jumps through to help him either way though he could suck it on being protected by her abilities, he wanted to get blasted by ice it was FINE BY HER.

The two men are in a stand off causing Violet to roll her eyes in a 'good grief' kind of expression before creating a large force field in the shape of a curved wall. It was 3 inches thick, 15 feet tall and 10 feet wide glowing purple hues as its sent as an opposing force towards Jack at the speed of 50mph!! With an impressive steal beam like force she planned on beating this guy into submission and getting this battle over with so she could go mope in her hotel room in peace! If Runner had gotten in the way at any point her other hand would wave itself to create a much smaller wall to shove him out of her way so she could do her job!! It wouldn't charge him at such a frieghtning speed to do any damage though.

Damian doesn’t even notice that the aura is no longer protecting him. It didn’t bother him any if it was active or not, he just knew in his heart that he could get the job done alone. But before he and Jack can get back into it, Ultra Violet comes to try and finish the fight all by herself. With the giant wall that she creates with her fortification chi it comes to smash Jack into the opposite end of the courtroom. The wall he hits cracks and shatters with the impact once he is pummeled.

The Runner watches as the wall whooshes passed him at 50 mph. In Damian’s mind, the speed is not all that fast at all because of how quick he can actually move. But being so focused on Jack, even he is hit by the much smaller wall that she creates to knock him down as well. Damian hits the center podium and lands on his chest with a loud thud. That is when he looks up and sees something that can change the entire night.

She had been so focused on handling Jack, they both actually forgot about Chris; the man that Jack had been here to break out this whole time. Standing behind Ultra Violet is a large meaty man wearing welding goggles and a device that helps control his inner heat on his chest. The fire erupts all around him, lightning the walls on fire with an Absolute Heat. The heat increases the temperature of the air dramatically, like some sort of "extreme heat wave". This wave achieves "absolute hot", or Klein temperature.

With his eyes set on Ultra Violet, he thrusts his left hand out and a line of fire quickly begins to burn the air behind him. This is almost like a flamethrower technique, aiming to engulf Olivia in the hottest flame possible. But Damian has other ideas.

“GET DOWN!” He yells out while launching himself forward at speeds that are unmeasurable to human kind.

While running, he moves so fast that his vision actually perceives it as going slow. He can see the flame getting closer and closer to Ultra Violet as he runs. She wouldn’t even feel it happening but she is quickly tackled to the ground about ten feet to her right as Damian gets her out of the way of being incinerated into nothing!

By that time, both Jack and Chris would be able to see the two of them on the ground. If Olivia turned to see who pulled her away from being killed, she would see The Runner lit on fire with his body vibrating so fast that he would actually seem like a blur of flame.

Damian screams out in pain from the heat but because of his vibrations he is able to cool the flames off of him. It takes a few seconds but once the flames cool, he is only covered in a string of smoke lines that emit from his suit. One thing that is most notable now is that his mask had been burned off. He didn’t realize it at the moment, but he slowly begins to stand up and he stares into the eyes of Ultra Violet. And the girl would be able to see the sparkling blue eyes of Damian Yun.

Now how will the situations come to play that the identity of The Runner is now out for everyone in the courthouse to see.

The pummeling wall shield works as it sends Jack rocketing backwards, Violet taking note that Runner had landed roughly on his chest. Serves him right for trying to be such a glory hog! Because of all the cold air, the vigilante hadn't even realized the warm force standing close behind her! Chris, with the ability to control absolute heat had sent a giant line of flames right for the hero but she'd been so focused on Jack to even realize the impending doom!

The obvious orange glow and the swift sounds of fire finally catch her attention but she couldn't react in time! She was going to be burned to ashes! Or so it looked...one second she was standing in the line of fire and the next her body was sliding on the floor as Runner tackled her and sent them both flying across the icy room! With a pained grunt, she lands on her back and gets the wind knocked out of her. "Dammit!" She curses before blue hues lift up to lock with a familiar pair of dazzling ones. As if hit by Jacks ice, shes frozen in the spot, staring back in disbelief at the man on top of her currently smoking... "D...Damien...??" She whispers in a soft shock as she reaches out to his face to make sure he was okay. "Why are..." And then it all comes crashing down. It made sense...all of her de ja vu, leaving the date so early in the night. Her date....her date was The Runner?!?!? White domino eyes go from wide and in shock to narrowed and serious. "You fucking PRICK!!" She throws a punch his way and if it lands or not it didn't matter as she throws him off of her. "I can't BELIEVE I fell for it! You had me so FOOLED! I knew it was too good to be true! Youre nothing but a phony! A big stupid phony!" She smacked him repeatedly though they weren't intentionally meant to do any damage it was just mostly done out of frustration. Someone clearing their throat grabbed her attention and she turns to see Jack O Connor with a spike construct of ice just a few feet away. "Oh shut up! I'm just about DONE WITH YOU TOO!" Olivia was SO angry! No not just angry but heart broken! She thought she had met SUCH a nice guy in this miserable city and it was all a lie! She was so done with the men here, the heros AND the villains!!

A sphere is created from each hand as they begin to grow in size, putting in her fortification chi and manipulation as the bubbles begin to rub against the other, creating an alarming effect of energy that sounded like radiation waves as theyre as big as her own body! The pulse off of them was immense, able to push anyone too close away as the molecules begin to shift inside and soon enough static begins to arise. "EAT THIS!!" Jack watched a moment longer before attempting to send the spikes for her but Violet was faster as the spheres shoot out like a cannon towards him and his ice in a shock wave that assaults jack on an almost astronmical level, destroying the ice around them as the man goes flying upwards and out through the wall and out into the hallways and THEN some!! The whole side of the room trembles as the destruction of that part of the court house is evident and she walks over to peek out and see if she could spot him through all the rubble...Jack O'connor the once cocky villain was trapped under the debris and currently out like a light.

With a satisfied nod, she turned back to Runner and if he'd handled Chris like he was SUPPOSED to she'd go right back up to the hero and point. "You are the BIGGEST JERK IN THE HISTORY OF JERKS!!" If both villains had been dealt with it'd be safe to pull down her hood and take off the domino mask, revealing long locks of blodne and blue eyes who stared back at him with an angry expression. She was no longer Ultra Violet but Olivia brooks, the girl he BAILED on just hours before!!

Instead of a thank you, Damian is greeted to a strong fist from Ultra Violet. Because he didn’t expect something like that from her, he is staggered back a few feet after feeling the strength of her punch upon his cheek. Immediately following the punch is a flurry of frustrating attacks that Damian raises his arms to take the contact. His face shows so much confusion, wondering what the hell has gotten into Ultra Violet. Her words seem like they are meant for someone she knew and he is too oblivious to put the dots together to see what she is really yelling about.

Jack makes the mistake of getting her attention in her enraged state. She quickly acts with the fury of a short blonde girl to make sure Jack doesn’t get back up again. While she is giving Jack a good beating, Damian turns to see Chris still standing in front of him.

“That one has a strong FIRE inside of her…ohhh That really burns up at deep inside me.” Chris says while practically oogling over Ultra Violet.

Damian raises his brow with a disgusted expression on his face, “Cool off, Hot head. Let’s finish this so I can go home.”

Damian charges forward at Chris using his speed to blur his motions. Chris fires out multiple lines of flame, trying to ignite Damian. But unlike the absolute cold, Damian works well with the increased molecule movement of absolute heat. Unable to see him, Chris quickly begins to take hundreds of punches in the gut and even hitting his face in the span of one second.

He is quickly outmatched now that Damian has turned on the serious button to get himself out of the situation he is in. His punches move so fast that they create large yellow lightning bolts at the end of his knuckles, creating a spark output with each punch.

By the time Ultra Violet comes to finish her own attack, Damian leaps into the air and hits Chris with a powerful superman punch that causes the courthouse to shake with a powerful tremor. Because of both of their attacks, the courthouse practically falls to the ground because of these two. After the punch, Chris flies into the wall behind him and hits the ground unconscious.

Damian looks over to Ultra Violet soon after defeating Chris with his bright blue eyes sparkling off the reflective light of the ice. She wastes no time in scolding him once more which brings Damian to raise his arms up and begin to yell back.

“WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROB-…” But before he could finish, she shows him exactly what her problem is.

Damian’s expression quickly drops from angry to the “oh shit” expression that someone gets when they get caught in a lie. The girl he had been dreading the whole week is actually the girl he has been spending all of his time with this past week. She now got to see both sides of Damian, something no one but his father gets to say.

At first, Damian slowly opens his mouth to try and reason with her and explain the events that took place of why he had to leave their date. But then his douchebag and angry personality quickly takes over. With his expression going back to angry, he begins to yell out to her.

“What are you doing out here, Olivia!? DO you know how DANGEROUS this place is!? You could have gotten killed out here!?” His nose scrunches up to show his sense of anger. “And how am I a PHONY!? You didn’t take the time to tell me that THIS is what you like to do on your FREE TIME! YOU’RE THE JERK FOR TRYING TO PLAY HERO WHEN YOU ARE ON VACATION! This isn’t your city to protect!” Damian begins to point his finger at her while he yells at her.

His argument is loosely based on the fact that this is his city to protect and not hers. Not the best leg to try and stand on, deep down knowing that he is in the wrong. But his stubborn attitude was not about to tell her that and let her know she is right about this situation. Anything could happen now.

"What are you doing out here, Olivia!? DO you know how DANGEROUS this place is!? You could have gotten killed out here!?” To this Oliva scoffs and points. "Oh there it IS theres that cocky attitude of yours! I KNOW WHAT IM DOING DAMIEN IM A PROFESSIONAL! I KNOW IM ON VACATION BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN I STOP BEING A HERO!" She stomps her foot as he grows angrier and tells her this isnt her city to protect.

"UGH! You are so infuriating! TWICE now youve almost cost us the bad guy! The first time you LET the guy ESCAPE on PURPOSE! I should be yelling at you about doing this are you dense or what!?" There were tears pricking the corners of her eyes and she was at a point now of either crying, hitting him or....or..."I can't believe I actually liked you!! I thought you were special!! Come to find out youre nothing but a....a....!!"

If she kept going she was going to burst into tears--or kill him and since she didn't want to do either one she grabs hold of his costume with tight gloved hands and yanks him close! It was so rough you'd expect her to head butt him into submission but what happened next could throw anyone off guard as plump glossy lips slam into his firmer ones in a passionate and angry kiss! With a soft sniffle in between Olivia pushes him off of her and it helped keep her from crying as she glares at him though it came off adorably so.

She says nothing....part of her couldnt believe she just forced a kiss on The Runner--err Damien--OH whatever they were the same person!! Unfortunately but she had still laid a heated kiss on those lips that had once been forming such harsh words...she was angry with him sure but there was just something about their constant yelling that....well lets be honest it held a lot of tension of the sexual nature especially now that they both knew who the other was! Not only was Damien this hot intellectual but he was a HERO too...a dickish self centered egotistical hero but a hero none the less like she was! He was the entire package and though his personality was shitty, it honestly turned her on to be in the midde of a battle field with this man....Giving him a fierce stare she touches her own lips softly before waiting on his next move....
